January 7

Well I am not quite sure where to start tonight but here goes. George had a better day today in that they kept him more sedated again. He went for a mri at 3 o'clock. They were still concerned about the lack of movement in his legs and arms. The results were great in that there was no signs of stroke or lack of oxygen to the brain. Praise God for that. The thought is now that we just have to wait until more of the sedation meds leave his body. They are continuing to slowly wean him off  to the point that he becomes more alert. They aren't able to take out the breathing tube before he meets certain criteria and it sounds like that could be a few more days. I see the next couple of days as being quite a challenge for George and also for our family as we stand by and watch. It is a hurdle that we have to overcome on our way to recovery. We covet, your prayers that we can all remain strong . Although it's not that obvious to us yet, the nurse said tonight that George has progressed by leaps and bounds in the last couple days. We know that we serve an awesome God who will never leave us or forsake us!

  2. We do keep praying for you. God will provide and lead in His timing and with His strength. He is an awesome God. This is what encouraged me through all the hard times we had. I hope it lifts you up in the same way.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber no sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
    Psalm 121

    A song says:
God is to wise, to be mistaken.
God is to good, to be unkind.
    When you don't understand,
when you don't see His plan,
when you can't trace His hand.
    TRUST HIS HEART!

God bless you. In prayer, Jon Janzen
