Tonight we are happy to report that George is continuing to improve. It was quite obvious to us that he was comprehending what we were saying. He was quite agitated at times because he still has the breathing tube in. They are going to turn the ventilator up for the night so as to give his lungs a rest and then try to remove the tube in the morning. That is very exciting for all us! His back is quite sore and it is hard for him to get comfortable. The nurse put him into a reclining chair for a little while. That seemed to be a major workout for George. He is very weak but we already saw some of his determination today. We actually even saw a hint of his mischievous side. I wasn't sure if it was just my imagination but the children caught it as well and even the nurse commented on it. So tonight we feel quite confident that George as we know him is on his way back. We praise God for his goodness. Isaiah 40 verse 29 has been very meaningful to us during this time. "He giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might he increaseth strength."

ReplyDeleteDavid was a man after Gods on heart. He faced many sorrows and troubles. We read in Psalm 116:
ReplyDelete4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
